The War Picture Library was a British war comic magazine consisting of 64 pages, published by Amalgamated Press/Fleetway (now part of IPC Magazines) for a total of 2,103 issues. began on September 1, 1958, with "Fight Back to Dunkirk" and 26 years later on December 3, 1984, with "Wings of the Fleet." Ted Bensberg served as editor, with assistant editors Geoff Kemp and Brian Smith, along with other editorial staff such as Pat Brookman, Terence Magee, Clive Ranger, Tony Power, and Clive McGee. Mike Jones was the art editor, assisted by his brother Dave Jones, with additional art assistants like Roy McAdy, Geoff Berwick, Bill Reid, and John Fearnley at various times. In years, companion titles Air Ace Picture Library (1960–1970) and Action Picture Library (1969–1970) were incorporated into the longer-running War Picture Library.
