Front line Super Picture Library Special Issue #20 'Hit The Silk' (1967)
 
Like the other two Fleetway Super Libraries (Fantastic/Stupendous and Secret Agent series), the Front Line series ran from January 1967 to January 1968, two issue per month with alternating stars, for a total of 13 adventures each and 26 issues in total. In the Front Line Series' case, both strips were World War II adventures. The Maddock's Marauders half of the run featured the missions of Captain Matt Maddock's small international unit of soldiers, while the other half followed the US Army's Sergeant Ironsides, a stereotypical tough-as-nails wartime hero. Both series transferred to Battle Picture Library when Front Line ended, and enjoyed further adventures through to the mid-1970s.
