S.S. and Wehrmacht Camouflage: U.S. Richardson Report 20 July 1945 In collaboration with Dr. Borsarello (1996)

An indispensable guide for historians, collectors and military modelers, this book finally resolves the confusion surrounding many of the many World War II Wehrmacht (both Army and Luftwaffe) patterns and garments and establishes a complete and concise system of identification and terminology.

By January 1945 the German Army was in retreat on all fronts. Nonetheless, the German authorities were convinced of victory still, even in the field of camouflaged uniforms. Up to 1944, many patterns had been tested and most of them worn in every part of Europe. Many pictures show splinters, tan water, burred edges. oak leaves. plane trees. palms and strokes. pink peas pattern, etc. This book shows the evolution of this camo development.
