No Hero: Memoirs of a raw recruit in WWII (1994) By John Kingsmill
An autobiographical work in the form of memoirs. Kingsmill was a junior clerk who joined the RAAF as a wireless operator at the beginning of World War II. He served in New Guinea and the memoirs cover many observations of wartime behaviour and his experiences of that time.
This is the sequel to the author's first book 'The Innocent'. He has written two other books pertaining to life in Sydney before the war.
